Suicune ex

Notes & Combos

People have been complaning that Water decks have fallen off, and Dena has been listening!

The moment I saw the trailer for Secluded Springs, I texted my friends telling them that Suicune ex was gonna be tier 1. When I did the big f2p start-of-season pack opening, the Pokemon Pocket gods blessed me with F-I-V-E copies of this bad boy. So, it was destiny that I would have to play the most meta of all meta decks.

Suicune-Giraninja is an EXTREMELY strong deck in that, not unlike Darktina, it is highly flexible. You can use Giratina as your main wall to set up, but even better it is to use Suicune for that purpose, since it also draws an extra card every turn. And then you have the classic Greninja-Cyrus bread and butter. Once more, I ask: what will it take for Dena to ban that stupid Supporter? While it exists, gotta fight fire with fire I guess.

After six seasons of ranked, I have found that using a top tier deck with a couple of variations works best to overpower people that have the same plan in mind. This season, the main uniqueness of my version of the deck is Red. Red is a good (imo arguably better) alternative to the standard Guzma because 90% of what Guzma does in this meta is remove Capes from Suicunes, so the same result can be achieved by adding 20 damage with Red, but with the added advantage of hitting other Giratinas, Sylveons and Espeons harder than you normally would.
