Notes & Combos

First time here in the ranked season, and I have to say... wow. This system is super tedious and long, but I had to get that digital, non-tangible, badge. Before I got to Masters, I had a lot of decks to use since my ADHD forbids using one deck throughout a run:

• Meowscarada+Magnezone,
• Rampardos+Hitmonlee,
• Marshadow+Magnezone,
• Skarmory+Magnezone,
• Arceus+Carnivine,
• Charizard EX
• Occasional Gyarados EX (though not so much).

But my final deck of choice is the one presented here: Exeggutor+Arceus+Carnivine, or I like to call Eggxodia. It utilizes the powerful one-point Pokemon such as A1 Exeggutor and TL Carnivine for aggressive starts and Arceus EX as our finisher/sweeper. Traditionally, these decks would run Exeggutor EX, but I find that the deck loses too fast due to going -2, -1/-2, so I opted for a -1, -1, -2 style instead, which was really important in buying another turn for setting up Arceus EX. Sometimes I missed Exeggutor EX, but I think non-EX Exeggutor caters to my style more. Instead of Erika for healing, I went for more tools such as Giant Cape and Rocky Helmet so Arceus EX can reach its favorable breakpoints more with decks such as Darktina, Gyarados EX, and Charizard EX, which this deck desperately needs any form of advantage against. As usual, we're running Sabrina and Cyrus as our finishing supporters or to tempo certain decks, and Red, which I firmly believe is one of if not the best supporter of Shining Revelry, as another way to close out games or get fast damage on EXs. Leaf is here as our method of maneuverability for when we have the infamous drawing Arceus EX as our only lead Pokemon, but it can also switch out Exeggutor. Overall, this deck does want good hands to win, though it can manage through its strong energy convinence and aggressive starts with a very strong set of finishers and utility item.
