Solgaleo ex

Master Ball from on October 16th, 2025

Notes & Combos

Energy: Steel

The goal of the deck is simple: Attack with Solgaleo on your second turn placing an energy down. Suicune and Entei can be changed for Raikou, and you can run one of each if you really want. Which set of 3 legendary dogs you should use will depend on what decks youre most often facing on ladder, since Suicune and Entei are weak to some popular decks atm, but Raikou has less hp. The dogs are just punching bags that draw you cards to get Solgaleo going.

Ideally, you start the game with Legendary Pulse active, and use Solgaleo's Rising Road to start doing damage when ready. If you're forced to place cosmog in your active spot you are potentially still fine as long as you can get a dog on the field, as Teleport will let you swap cosmog out and still trigger Legendary Pulse that turn.

This particular version of the deck runs double Red to make the Suicune/Legendary dogs matchup much more consistent, as they will be one shot if no cape is present. Furthermore, Red makes the Darkrai/Arceus matchup much easier. Red is a brick vs Silvaly decks, but that matchup is in your favor as long as its not the orichorio variants.

You NEED minimum 1 repel in deck for Orichorio decks, as you cant hit Orichorio at all. You can try running STS Registeel or other cards that can 2 shot Orichorio, but this will make every other matchup more inconsistent and is not worth it over just running 2 repels in my opinion, as these have further utility and are a must to win the Silvaly-Orichorio matchup.

Only instant loss matchup: Your opponent gets 2 Orichorio on field, as you cant repel it away anymore. Funnily enough, if the opponent plays Orichorio and no other card thats also an instant loss.
