Training Area and Team Rocket Grunt are Flex Spots. If you don't find TRG reliable or worth it, adding something like Lucky Ice Pop or Irida would be good, though the biggest threats to this deck are heavy one shot hitters that have options for ramping or getting energy from the bench. Like Hydreigon / Charizard, etc.

The idea is to lock out energy and to disrupt with baby Pidgeot's free Sabrina ability when needed. While you could build this deck without the Pidgey line completely, Pidgeot takes out Oricorio, Pidgey one shots babies, and Mega Pidgeot can cause energy disruption on top of Ninetales or TRG.

Mantyke is there to get the two lines online faster and serve as a free pivot in the case of multiple starting Pokemon. Could sub for Chingling if item locking is more important, but turn 2 Pidgeot / Ninetales is pretty agressive or turn 3 Mega Pidgeot.

Taken from Luckycad's YouTube channel and this is the deck I've been win streaking with in MB. It's also very fun. Will work on optimizing flex spots. (Probably Ice Pop, as much as I hate to use that card, it just makes sense here unfortunately.) Or Giant Cape.
