Notes & Combos
A very powerful deck in the current format, it is my personal favorite deck. I prefer this version of the deck over the Raichu variant. I rather have a Pokémon that can hit the opponent's bench than a weaker Mewtwo EX who can only hit once and that is not a guaranteed K.O. unlike Charizard EX. Every Pokémon on the team has very low retreat cost, so if you didn't open the Pokémon you wanted, they can tank some of the hits until the correct Pokémon arrives.
___
Pikachu EX:
Pikachu EX is the heart of the deck and the main strategy. You can deal so much damage in a few turns that only requires to have more Lightning type Pokémon on the bench. Since its a Basic Pokémon, the Pokéball can search for it, also it doesn't require you to evolve to have a powerful EX Pokémon right away. However, it has a relatively low HP for an EX Pokémon and can't one-shot most of the powerful Pokémon on the other decks.
Zapdos EX:
A huge tank. This Pokémon is so good against bad machups like the Fighting type ones and has type advantage on other tanks like Moltres EX, Articuno EX or even other Zapdos EX. Zapdos EX can potentially one-shot any Pokémon, although relying on flipcoins, you throw 4 of them, so it's worth it.
Pincurchin:
Pincurchin is here only because of the 70 HP and low retreat cost, so its a tank. I never used it since this Pokémon needs two energies and relies on coinflips.
Zebstrika/Blitzle:
I use this Pokémon as a tech card. Very useful when the opponent retrieves the active Pokémon with low HP, then you can continue attacking that Pokémon on the bench. Also if you are going first and you opened Blitzle, when your turn on which you can put an energy on it arrives, you can also evolve into Zebstrika.
___
*Item cards and Supporter cards are self explanatory and most of them are staples in this game
___
Very fun deck to play with and can easily reach the 5 win streak. If you love Pikachu AND winning, this is your deck.
