Special Conditions

Special Conditions are effects that are applied to the Active Pokémon during battle either by Attacks, or by Abilities. In Pokémon Pocket, there is currently a total of 5 Special Conditions. As it's not covered in the game, this short guide will help you understand each Special Condition and show you some of the different Pokémon containing these Special Conditions.

Poisoned

A Pokémon that has been Poisoned takes 10 damage at the end of each turn. This special condition can stack with other conditions. However, unlike other Special Conditions, this one cannot be cured naturally or through a coin toss. You can get rid of poison by:

  • Evolving your Pokémon.

  • Retreating it to the bench.

Burned

A Pokémon that has been burned takes 20 damage at the end of each turn. Just like poison, this condition can stack with other special conditions. A Pokémon can be cured from burn naturally, and that is by getting Heads on the coin toss that will occur at the end of each player's turn whilst the Pokémon is burned.

  • If the coin lands on Heads, then the Pokémon recovers from being Burned.
  • If it lands on Tails, the Pokémon stays Burned.

Burn can stack with other conditions. It can be cured naturally by a coin toss or by Evolving / Retreating your Pokémon.

Asleep

A Pokémon that is asleep cannot Attack or Retreat. At the end of each turn, a coin is flipped.

  • If the coin lands on Heads, the Pokémon wakes up.
  • If it lands on Tails, the Pokémon will remain Asleep.
